Math Solutions works with schools, districts, consortiums, and state departments to develop and implement comprehensive Mathematics Improvement Plans (MIPs).
There are five key elements to every plan—audience, topics, format, length of project, and funding. Consider each of these when you are beginning to create your plan.
- Whom are you targeting?
(Ex: Administrators, Coaches, Teachers, etc.)
- What topics do you want to cover?
(Ex: Differentiation, Coaching, Number and Operations, Algebra, etc.)
- How do you want the professional development to be delivered?
(Ex: Face to Face, Online ePD, Publication, Hybrid Model, or Combination)
- What is your time frame for completing your mathematics transformation?
- How are you planning to fund your mathematics professional development?
(Ex: Title I, ARRA, Grant, SIG, RTTT, etc.)
