Jon PirainoDirector of Professional Learning

Jon has been a Professional Learning Consultant with Math Solutions since 2013 where he delivers professional learning and coaches teachers. Prior to this, he taught high school and middle school math for more than 11 years in Pennsylvania and New York. Around the same time that he joined Math Solutions, Jon joined the Albany Charter School Network as the Director of Mathematics and has since stepped into the role of the Director of Academics where he oversees a team of ELA, Math, Technology, ENL, and Elementary specialists. Through his experience, Jon has become an expert in teaching mathematics, designing effective professional development, and coaching teachers and school leaders to maximize classroom achievement through creating effective and engaging strategies to implement Next Generation and Common Core mathematical standards.
